Welcome, Authorized Users
Authorized Users (AUs) are designated by the NIMAC State Coordinator. AUs can search and download files from the NIMAC, and assign files for download by registered Accessible Media Producers. If you are not yet designated but would like to find out more, please check out our FAQ or contact us.
Resources for Authorized Users
NIMAC v3 Authorized User Training
The NIMAC is pleased to announce the release of a new online system, effective March 21, 2017! The video below will walk you through the new system and highlight new features and enhancements.
The NIMAC Watchlist Pilot Project
The NIMAC is now helping Authorized Users by expediting files that are added to the Watchlist. We hope you’ll take advantage of this free service!
A training PowerPoint on the project can be downloaded here:

Need to locate an AMP?
You can download a listing of all AMPs registered with the NIMAC by logging into the AU portal, clicking on Contact Information, selecting AMPs from the menu, and then clicking the Export button.
For more specific searching, you may also wish to use the online AMP Directory at the American Printing House for the Blind. This database is not connected with the NIMAC, but is a free, self-listing service for AMPs who wish to promote their services. You can search the directory here: AMP Directory.
The NIMAC Limitation of Use Agreement
All AUs and AMPs that register with the NIMAC must submit a Limitation of Use Agreement. This document is automatically emailed to the new user as a part of the registration process.
It can also be found here: NIMAC Limitation of Use Agreement.
MathML is an XML language that is used to make mathematical expressions and scientific notation accessible. It is optional for NIMAS, however the US Department of Education has strongly encouraged SEAs and LEAs to require MathML when they include NIMAS language in their print book adoption contracts.
